We have improved our payments infrastructure, so you can now securely store and reveal payment cards in Preno. This is a useful add-on for customers in countries that do not have payment gateway support.
This article will guide you to:
Enable the Reveal stored cards add-on
📌 Note: This feature requires an add-on to your Preno subscription
Head to Settings > Payment methods
On the Reveal stored cards section, click on Enable.
You will see the information below. Please take a moment to review your PCI responsibilities before clicking Submit.
Once enabled, the any new payment cards that is stored in Preno can be revealed.
⚠️ Note: If you have cards stored in payment gateways (ie. Stripe) prior enabling this feature, those cards cannot be securely revealed.
Set user permissions to reveal stored cards
You can control which users have the ability to reveal the stored cards. By default, users with 'Full' permissions can reveal cards.
To explicitly give/remove access to reveal cards:
Go to Settings > User management
Click on the user that you'd like to manage permissions
Tick/untick the option - Can reveal cards. This is grouped in Bookings permissions.
Click Save changes when you are done.
How to reveal a stored card on a booking
In the Stored cards section of a booking, you will see the Reveal button for each card.
Only users with permissions will be able to access this function. You may need to confirm your password if you have been inactive for over 5 minutes.
Once verified, you will be able to view the stored card details. For your convenience, you can add a payment record on the booking from here if you had taken a payment.
Each time the card is revealed, it is also logged in the Booking History to provide an auditable trail of user actions.

Do I need to a payment gateway to use this feature?
No, you can use this feature without a payment gateway. Preno has an improved PCI compliant infrastructure to securely store and reveal cards.
Can I use this feature alongside my payment gateway?
Yes you can. For peace of mind, you might want to have a backup option to process payments.
Can I reveal stored cards from my existing bookings?
Unfortunately, you can only reveal cards stored into Preno when the add-on is enabled. This is because any cards stored prior would have been securely stored into your payment gateway.
