Written by Keegan

Step 1: Log in to Stripe

  1. Go to the Stripe Dashboard and log in.

  2. Make sure you're in Live mode, not Test mode. The View test data toggle should be off.

  3. In the left sidebar, navigate to Developers → API keys.

You'll need Administrator access to your Stripe account to complete these steps.

Step 2: Copy your publishable key

Under Standard keys, find and copy your Publishable key.

This key begins with pk_live_.

Step 3: Create a new restricted API key

  1. Under Restricted keys, click Create restricted key.

  2. Name the key Preno Booking Engine.

  3. Set all permissions to None, except for the following seven permissions, which must be set to Write:

On the Create a restricted key screen please select the second option 'Providing this key to a third-party application'

On the Choose a permission template select the first option 'One-off payments'

4. Double-check that all seven permissions are set to Write, and all other permissions remain set to None.

5. Click Create key and complete any security verification requested by Stripe.

6.Copy your new restricted key, which begins with rk_live_.

Important: Stripe only displays your restricted key once, so please copy it and keep it secure. If you lose it, you'll need to generate a new one.

Step 4: Securely send your keys to Preno

We will send you another email to submit both keys through a secure link. For your security, please do not send your keys directly by email or through our support chat.

What happens once you submit your keys?

Once we receive your keys, our team will reconnect Stripe to your Booking Engine and verify that the configuration is working.

If you have any questions or need assistance with these steps, please reply to this email and our team will be happy to help.
