Configure deposits with the channel manager

Preno can automatically add records for the deposits from channel managers

If your guests pay a deposit through an online channel, you can configure Preno to add its record automatically. Most frequent use cases are:

  • You are using SiteMinder, and your Booking Button is integrated with a payment gateway, such as Windcave (previously Payment Express).

  • You are using STAAH, and your Booking Engine is integrated with a payment gateway, such as Windcave (previously Payment Express) or Stripe

To enable this, you will need to configure Preno and specify a payment method. This is a payment method that the integration will use for the deposits that it adds.

Go to Settings > Integrations, find your channel manager and click "Settings". Under Deposits, click "Configure new source"

  1. Source is the name of the Preno agent. It has to match the name that Preno receives from the channel manager

  2. Payment method is the payment method you would like to use with the deposit. If you need to add a new method, you can do so under Settings > Payment methods.

Note: If you have Xero integration enabled, Preno will add a prepayment record in Xero too.
