Some of the apps that work with Preno are built by our partners on the Preno API. Whichever partner app you're connecting, the steps to get your Preno account ready are the same. Complete these once, then follow the setup guide for the app you're connecting.
What you'll need
A Preno account on the Growth Pilot plan. API access isn't available on lower plans.
An active account with the partner app you're connecting.
Administrator access to your Preno account.
Step 1: Ask us to enable API access
API access is switched off by default. Message us via the in-app support chat in Preno and let us know which app you're connecting, and we'll enable it on your account.
Once it's enabled, you'll see the Preno API section in your Integration settings.
Step 2: Create an API token
In Preno, go to Settings > Integrations. Find the Preno API section.
Create a new token and select the permissions the partner app needs.
Give it a description that identifies the app — for example, "App Name" — so you can tell your tokens apart later.
Submit the form to generate the token.
Copy the token straight away. You won't be able to see it again once you close the window. If you do lose it, it's no drama — just delete that token and create a new one.
You'll also need your GUID, which is shown in the same area.
Step 3: Complete setup in the partner app
Head to the partner app and follow their setup guide, pasting in your API token and GUID where prompted. Each app handles this slightly differently, so use their instructions from this point.
Keeping your token safe
Treat your API token like a password. Anyone holding it can access your booking and guest data through the API. Only share it with the partner you're connecting, and never post it in a public forum or email thread.
You can revoke access at any time by deleting the token from Settings > Preno API / Integrations. Creating a separate token for each app means you can cut one off without disrupting the others.
Timing your setup
If you're a new Preno customer, wait until your demo data has been cleared before connecting a partner app. Ideally connect after your existing bookings have been imported, so the partner receives a complete picture from the start.
Who supports what
These integrations are built and maintained by our partners, not by Preno. As a rule of thumb:
Contact the partner for anything about how the integration behaves — what syncs, how often, and anything happening inside their app.
Contact Preno if you need API access enabled, can't generate a token, or your bookings aren't reaching the partner at all.
