Preno can provide an iCal link for each of your room types, showing whether that room type is available or unavailable on any date.
What an iCal link shows
An iCal link is view-only availability for one room type:
It shows each date as available or unavailable — it doesn't show how many rooms are free.
It can't be used to make a booking.
It doesn't include bookings, guest names or booking details.
If you're looking for your bookings and guest details on the go, use the Grid in Preno — it works on your phone and tablet. The iCal link is for sharing basic availability, not managing bookings.
To Set Up / Getting your iCal links
Contact our support team via live chat and let us know which room types you'd like iCal links for. We'll send you a link for each room type.
Adding the link to Google Calendar
Open Google Calendar on a computer.
In the left sidebar, next to Other calendars, click + and select From URL.
Paste the iCal link and click Add calendar.
The room type's availability appears as a calendar in the sidebar — rename it to the room type (for example "Deluxe King availability") in the calendar's settings so it's easy to identify, especially if you're adding several room types.
The same link works in Apple Calendar and Outlook — add it as a calendar subscription.
Sharing availability with a travel agent
You can give an iCal link to a travel agent or corporate account, and they can add it to their own calendar to check whether a room type is available before contacting you. The link only ever shows availability — the agent can't see rates, bookings or guest information, and can't book through it.
Troubleshooting
The calendar tool won't accept the link — some tools have trouble with the standard iCal format. Contact our support team and we'll provide an alternative version of the link that works more widely.
Availability looks out of date — Google refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule, and new changes can take several hours to appear. For live availability, check the Grid in Preno.
Nothing appears after adding the link — check the link was pasted in full with no spaces, allow up to 24 hours for Google's first refresh, then remove and re-add the calendar with a freshly copied link.
Important iCal links like any other business information — only share them with people who should be able to see your availability.
