Connecting to Google Hotels

How to show your rates on Google Hotels through Preno, and what to check if your Google listing isn't working.

Written by Amelia Gain

Preno can sync your rates and availability to Google Hotels, so your property appears with a free booking link when travellers search for you on Google — sending commission-free bookings to your Booking Engine. You need to be using the Preno channel manager and have a verified Google Business Profile and the Google Hotels rate sync, available on the Growth Pilot plan.

Before you start

  • Claim and verify your Google Business Profile at business.google.com. This is your property's listing on Google Search and Maps — Google can't show your rates without it. Verification with Google may involve a phone call or a postcard sent to your property's address.

    • Match your details exactly. Your property name, address, phone number and website in Preno must match your Google Business Profile. Mismatched details are the most common reason a connection fails to establish.

  • This connection is available on the Preno Growth Pilot Plan and using the Preno channel manager. See Understanding your Preno plan and pricing. Or reach out to our team if you require help with your Preno subscription.

  • If you're using Siteminder or STAAH channel manager you will need to contact them.

Connecting to Google Hotels

  1. Verify your Google Business Profile is live and correct at business.google.com.

  2. In Preno, Settings > Channel Manager, Channel Mappings > Add Channel, scroll to Google > Contact Support. Our team will then complete the steps to activate your connection.

  3. Allow time for Google to establish the listing. New connections can take several days to appear in Google's hotel search results.

  4. A property can only have one Google listing.

Troubleshooting your Google listing

If your rates aren't showing, or the listing shows a problem, work through these:

  1. Check your Google Business Profile is verified and hasn't been suspended. An unverified profile can't show booking links.

  2. Check your details match. Property name, address and phone number must be consistent between Preno and your Business Profile.

  3. Check your rates are accurate. Google monitors price accuracy, if the rate shown on Google doesn't match the final price, Google can limit or stop showing your link.

  4. Check the room and rate are bookable. Google only shows rates for dates with availability; a stop-sell or closed dates will show no rate.

If your listing still isn't appearing after these checks, contact our support team with your property name and the link to your Google Business Profile.
