The Revenue report shows your key financial metrics — room nights sold, accommodation and extras totals, and RevPAR — for any period you choose.
Run it monthly for performance reviews, or set a custom date range to see a full year in one view.
What the Revenue report shows
The report covers accommodation and extras for the selected period — it does not reflect payments taken to date (for payments, use the Reconciliation Report.
Annual comparison figures are against the same period last year, helpful with seasonality, and all figures include sales tax.
Rows on the Grid excluded from occupancy do not have their revenue shown here or under occupancy.
The Revenue from Extras
The Revenue from Extras table shows your income from extras. Extras sometimes appear as a partial quantity (demical), this is because the Revenue report spreads each extra across the full duration of the guest's stay. For example, a stay split over two months (2 nights in March, 3 nights in April) attributes 2/5 of the extra to March and the remainder to April.
Note For a full breakdown of extras sold — quantities, item prices and totals — see Extras Report Breakdown.
Running a 12-month Revenue report
There's no need to combine monthly totals manually — a custom date range aggregates the whole period in a single view:
Go to the Reports section in Preno, then open the Revenue report.
Use the date filter to select a Custom range.
Choose the start and end dates covering your 12-month period. For example, to view revenue for 2024, set the From date as 1 January 2027 and the To date as 31 December 2027.
View the results — the report displays the total revenue for the full period. Click 'More' to show options > Download to export for a .csv, or Print to print or save as a PD
The same steps work for any period — the report can also be viewed Daily, Weekly or Monthly using the dropdown at the top of the page.
Setting monthly targets
Unique to the Revenue report, you can set monthly revenue targets and track them on the graph. This useful as displaying sales targets or forecasting. To set up:
On the Revenue report, click More > Set targets.
Enter your target for each month and save. Targets appear on the graph as a white dotted line alongside your actual revenue.
