New ✨
A fresh new look for reports — every report has been redesigned to be easier to read and use on any screen, including your phone. Highlights:
Sort by almost any column — click a column heading to sort.
More filters — filter the Reconciliation report by payment method and the Bookings report by booking source, and choose a custom date range on the Occupancy report.
Clearer Guests report — guest counts are now split into Headcount (previously "No. of guests"), Returning guests and New guests, so these figures will look different from before.
Customise the Reconciliation report — reorder columns and show or hide the ones you need. The payments and voided tables now include a Source column, which is also in the CSV export. Your column layout doesn't change the CSV.
Easier to read and scroll — overview figures and chart tooltips are larger, wide tables have a scrollbar at the top so you can move across without scrolling down first, and the first columns stay pinned as you scroll.
Bulk create rate plans — set up several rate plans in one go from the Bulk actions menu on the Rates page (previously called Bulk updates). As you get close to your property's rate plan limit, a count appears beside the Rates title so there are no surprises.
Double bookings held as Unconfirmed — if a booking from your channel manager lands on a room that's already taken, Preno now marks it Unconfirmed and pauses automated emails and payments until you confirm or cancel it. No setup needed. The email, booking note and in-app notification make it clear the clash needs resolving, and list the affected nights as easy-to-read date ranges (e.g. 5–6 March 2027).
Currency settings — Settings > Payment methods now has a Currency section. Your currency is set from your property's country by default, and you can change it if you need to. New display options let you choose how amounts are shown, and Preno now applies them everywhere, so currency looks the same on every page.
Enhancements 🥳
Easier on wide screens — on large monitors, pages now stop at a comfortable width instead of stretching edge to edge. The grid still uses the full width, and the rates page stretches to show more rates at once.
Clearer amounts on bookings — negative amounts on the booking view are now shown in italics, and the agent's commission in the booking summary is separated by a colon rather than a minus sign, so it can't be mistaken for a negative amount.
Housekeeping notes — the note box is ready to type in as soon as you open it.
Windcave card charges — Preno now waits longer for Windcave to confirm a card payment. If it still can't confirm, you'll be prompted to check Windcave so you know whether the payment went through before trying again.
Extras settings — the Extras page in Settings has a refreshed look, with clearer on/off toggles so it's obvious which option is selected.
Clearer Xero messages — if Xero won't accept an invoice because the contact is archived in Xero, Preno now tells you why. Reloading the Xero connection page now shows a helpful message instead of an error.
Bug fixes 🧰
Bookings report lead times — lead time is now counted in whole days between the booking date and the arrival date, in your property's local time, so the figure no longer shifts depending on when you run the report. This applies to past periods too, so rerunning an older report will show the corrected figures.
Windcave Payment Links — fixed payments not being recorded against the booking when a guest clicked Pay more than once, or after a change on Windcave's side.
Channel manager updates — fixed extras being removed from a booking when your channel manager sent an update to it.
"New Preno version" notice — fixed the prompt to reload reappearing after you'd already reloaded.
Report dates — fixed some reports showing the wrong dates for properties whose timezone wasn't being picked up.
Grid — fixed the notification arrow making the page wider than the screen.
Booking history — fixed booking history failing to load for some bookings with an automated email that was never sent.
Guest details — the name fields now appear in the same order wherever you edit a guest from.
