Adding a surcharge to certain payment methods can help cover transaction fees. You can set up Preno to automatically apply a surcharge on a payment method with Auto Surcharge.

Setting up Auto Surcharge

Auto-surcharge is set up by a payment method basis. You can have different surcharges for different payment methods. To set it up:

  1. Go to Settings > Payment methods. You will see a section called Payment surcharge.

  2. Click on Add surcharge.

  3. Choose the payment method you'd like to apply the surcharge to, specify the surcharge percentage, and the name of the surcharge (this is displayed on the guest receipt) then click Save.

Now, every time you use this payment method, the specified surcharge will be automatically applied.

Tip: You also have the option to opt out of applying the surcharge at the time of payment, giving you the flexibility on a per-transaction basis.

Note: Please ensure compliance with local regulations on apply surcharges.
