Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an additional layer of security that helps protect your user account from unauthorized access. By enabling MFA, you will be required to provide a second form of identification, in addition to your password, when logging into your account.

Setting Up MFA

To set up MFA for your account, follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Profile. You will see a section called Multi-factor authentication.

  2. Click Setup MFA and follow the prompts.

    1. You'll need to download an authenticator app for your phone if you don't have one already

    2. Scan the QR code, and then enter the code shown in your authentication app

  3. Once complete, your login will now be secured with multi-factor authentication.

For account admins, you can also view a list of users who have enabled MFA on their accounts by going to Settings and clicking on User list.

Why Use MFA?

MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account, making it more difficult for hackers to gain access. By requiring a second form of identification, even if someone manages to obtain your password, they will not be able to access your account without the additional verification.

We highly recommend enabling MFA for all user accounts to ensure the safety and security of your data.

Final Thoughts

Your Preno account holds important business and sensitive guests information, so it is important to take all necessary precautions to protect against unauthorised access. By setting up MFA for your account, you are taking an important step towards securing your user login and preventing unauthorised access.
