Add an Agent from the Agents tab (in top toolbar) so bookings from that source — an OTA, travel agent, corporate account or other booking source — record against it with the right commission and payment handling. Once saved, you can select the Agent as the source on any booking.
Before you start
Know how the Agent handles payment and the commission amount they take, as Preno asks this during setup:
Agent Collect — the Agent takes the payment at source (for example, the OTA charges the guest and pays you).
Hotel Collect — the guest pays at your property.
Adding the Agent
Click the Agents tab on the top toolbar.
At the top right of the Agents page, click Add new.
In the pop-up window, fill in the Agent's details — name, contact information and commission — and add any helpful notes on how to handle bookings from this Agent.
Answer the payment questions so Preno can set the correct Agent type: whether the Agent collects the payment (Agent Collect) or the guest pays at your property (Hotel Collect).
If the Agent removes their commission at source (before reaching Preno), configure the Agent to add the commission back to the total in Preno, so your revenue reporting shows the full booking value. Expedia Channel Collect is a good example.
Click Add. Preno saves the Agent, and you can now select it as the source on a booking.
Note Booking.com and Expedia use specific Agent names in Preno so it can tell agent collect and hotel collect bookings apart:
Booking source | Payment type | Agent name in Preno |
Booking.com | Hotel collect | Booking.com |
Booking.com | Agent collect | Booking.com VCC |
Expedia | Agent collect | Expedia |
Expedia | Hotel collect | Expedia Hotel Collect |
