Sometimes you may not want your accommodation available to the general public, but would like to open accommodation a particular subset of people.

For example; you may have a property that hosts weddings and would like wedding guests to be the only people that can book accommodation for particular dates.

This can be configured by
- Setting up a new rate/s in Preno; and
- Setting the rate/s as a 'Private Package' in your Booking Engine; and
- Setting up a Promo Code that is valid for the 'Private Package' rate/s; and then
- Setting the availability/unavailability for your rates as required.

Setting up a new rate/s in Preno.

For example; you may wish to create a new Rate called 'Private Rate'

Please check out this article for more information on how to add rates in Preno.

Setting the rate/s as a 'Private Package' in your Booking Engine

This is done via your Booking Engine.

  1. In Preno; go to Settings > Booking Engine > Booking Engine Configuration 'Settings'; then

  2. You will need to map the new rate you created; Under 'Rooms and Rates', click on 'Map' for the room type in question > select the rate plan you added > Specify the applicable guests for the rate and any extra adult/child rates; and

  3. Check the 'Private Package' checkbox; then

  4. Click Save; then

  5. Click on the newly mapped rate to configure it further. You may wish to add additional descriptions for example

Full information on adding rate plans to your booking engine can be found here.

Setting up a Promo Code that is valid for the 'Private Package' rate/s;

This is done via the Promo Code section in your Booking Engine.
This is where you will select the rate plan that the promo code is valid for. You may also apply discounts, validity days/dates.

Full information on setting up Promo Codes can be found here

Setting the availability/unavailability for your rates as required

This is where you will need to set your 'public' rates to be unavailable so that your accommodation is only available for your private guests AND set your 'private' rates to be available.

Please follow the guidance in this article on editing rate availability.
